# Destinations for curious families

Places to go

## Australia

From a day in Sydney to coastal holidays and easy Queensland escapes, these are places with enough movement, discovery and good food to keep the whole family interested.

## Sydney with boys

Plan around the harbour, ferries, beaches and the kind of hands-on stops that turn a city break into an adventure.

## Europe

Winter journeys, city walks and family food memories, including Christmas in Finnish Lapland and Danish frikadeller.

## Rovaniemi at Christmas

Cold-weather layers, short daylight and the excitement of a family visit to the Arctic Circle all deserve their own careful plan.

## Further afield

Family notes from Singapore, Abu Dhabi and other long-haul stops where practical preparation makes the journey easier.
